Here I am providing the information regarding the UPSC IPS Preliminary Exam which you are looking for. CSE including three phases 1) CSAT 2) Civil Services Mains 3) IPS Interview. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants should possess Degree in any discipline from any University recognised by Government. Age of the aspirants should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than 30 years to be eligible for IPS Exam. Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit: Candidate’s age should be in between 21 to 30 years Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have completed graduation degree form recognized university. No. of Attempts: GEN: 4 times OBCs: 7 times SC/ST: No limit IPS Syllabus: Paper I: General Studies Paper II: Language Exam Paper III: General English Paper IV: Essay Paper V, VI, VII, VIII and IX: Optional Subjects General Studies: Paper Type: Objective Type Duration: 2 Hours Marks: 200 Syllabus: Current events of national and international importance, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World, Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc, Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc., General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.
