The University Board of Sports was established in the year 1949.

The objective of the Board of Sports is to promote, organize and control Intercollegiate, Interzonal, Inter University and such tournaments as may be decided by the Board of Sports from time to time in the Pune University area.

For the promotion of Game Sports at College level; the University Board of Sports has decided to award sports scholarship to meritorious sports person

All India Inter University Level :

Medal Secured Individual Event Team Event

Gold Rs. 10,000/- each Rs. 7,000/- each

Silver Rs. 7,000/- each Rs. 5,000/- each

Bronze Rs. 5,000/- each Rs. 3,000/- each

Inter State Inter University (Ashwamedh) Sports :

Medal Secured Individual Event Team Event

Gold Rs. 5,000/- each Rs. 3,000/- each

Silver Rs. 3,000/- each Rs. 2,000/- each

Bronze Rs. 2,000/- each Rs. 1,000/- each
