The University of Hyderabad is an Indian Public Research University located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was established in 1974. The University is approved by UGC.

Sports & Games

Their University has a multipurpose playground on the Campus for games such as

Cricket
Football
Volleyball
Ball-Badminton
Tennis
Basketball and athletic events

Modern facilities for physical conditioning are available at the New Indoor Gymnasium along with facilities for Table tennis, Shuttle badminton, Chess and Caroms.

Both intramural and extramural competitions are planned in such a way that students are able to regularly participate in games and sports activities throughout the year.

The University is also a member of the Inter University Sports board of India and its teams participate in Zonal and All-India Inter University Tournaments regularly

The department also organizes annual inter school competitions to inspire the student community to involve in physical games and improve their health status.
