Hello sir I want to know University of Mumbai Leave Rules so here can you please give me its details ?

Hey as The University of Mumbai is one of the first three state universities of
India and the oldest in Maharashtra. It is abbreviated as MU for Mumbai
University.

Application for leave

Any application for leave or for extension of leave shall be made in prescribed
form to the authority competent to grant leave.

It should be applied for and sanctioned before it is availed of except in special
cases of emergency and for reasons to the satisfaction of the sanctioning
authority.

Leave Account

A leave account shall be maintained in prescribed form for each employee.

The order sanctioning earned leave, half pay leave to an employee shall
hereafter indicate the balance of such leave at his credit.

Leave not to be granted in certain circumstances

Leave shall not be granted to an Employee whom a competent punishing
authority has decided to dismiss, remove or compulsorily retire from
University service.

Grant of leave on medical certificate

An application for leave on medical certificate shall be accompanied by a
medical certificate in prescribed form from such Medical Officer as may be
prescribed or a Registered Medical Practitioner; defining as clearly as possible
the nature and probable duration of illness.

A Medical Officer shall not recommend the grant of leave in any case in which
there appears to be no reasonable prospect that the Employee concerned will
ever be fit to resume his duties and in such case, the opinion that the
Employee is permanently unfit for University service shall be recorded in the
medical certificate.

The authority competent to grant leave may, at its discretion, secure a
second medical
