The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be Conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) on Behalf of the University Grants Commission.

The UGC NET is Conducting for Determining the Eligibility of Indian Nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Important Dates

Submission of online application form
1st week of March, 2016

Last date for Applying Online
2nd Week of March 2016 (exact dates will be updated soon)

Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank challan , at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara ICICI Bank) or through credit/debit card
2nd Week of March 2016 (exact dates will be updated soon)

Correction in Particulars of application form on the website

UGC NET Exam Eligibility :

Candidate who is in the Final year of Post-Graduation or Have Passed his Post-Graduation with 55% (For General) or 50% (For ST/SC/OBC/PWD) marks from a government recognized institute are eligible to appear for the exam.

Examination Fee :

The Examination fee is Rs.600/-; for Other Backward Classes
the fee is Rs.300/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs.150/-
