At University of Calicut the President of Departmental Students Union is Dr. A.B Moideen Kutty.

The objectives of the Students Union are to promote and coordinate social and cultural activities of students, and to create in them an awareness of civil duties and rights.

The Unions activities mainly include organizing arts festivals, workshops on various subjects related to students awareness.
