The University of Calcutta has a psychology department. Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta is a part of University of Calcutta.

The department runs the PG level 2 years M. Sc Course and two- one Year duration Self-Financing Courses.

Psychology was considered to be a new inclusion of Science. The departments was established in 1916.
