The admission to Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu is conducted by Anna University, Chennai through the Process name of TNEA


Degree Courses from the eligible Other State candidates for the seats reserved in the University Departments of Anna University.

Eligibility for B. E. / B. Tech

Minimum Qualification for Other state quota

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects as prescribed below or Any other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu.


Minimum Eligibility Marks

Community Minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together (%)

General Category 50.00

SC/ST 35.00


International Baccalaureate Diploma

Candidates who have passed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as compulsory subject

General category:
Candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

SC/ST:
Candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.



Eligibility for B.Arch

The candidates should have passed (pass mark is 80 out of 200) the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.


Other State Quota - Seats Allocation

52 seats (including 1 seat for Kashmiri Migrant) are reserved for B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Courses in University Departments of Anna University, Chennai-25.

Two seats are reserved for B. Arch. Degree Course in the University Department of Anna University, Chennai-25.
