National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Faridabad entrance examination pattern is as given below:

NPTI Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
Part I : No of questions 60

Basic of maths, science, language / analytical reasoning / data interpretation
Part II : No of questions 30

General Engineering
Part III: No of questions 90
Subject specialization paper and candidates should select 1 group only

Common group: Permitted specializations in the qualifying degree examinations

G-I:
Mechanical
Mechanical & Automation
Production Engineering and equivalent

G-II:
Electrical
Electrical & instrumentation
Electrical & Electronics Engineering (equivalent)

G-III:
Electronics
Electronics & Communication
Electronics & Telecommunication
Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (Equivalent)

Here are some tips which will help you in getting success in this examination:
You can improve general knowledge by regularly reading the newspaper
You can refer to different General Knowledge books
For teaching aptitude, refer to various books that are available at book stores
Understand the syllabus properly
Refer to past question papers and try to solve them as much as possible.
Try to take mock tests
Learn to choose questions
Read at least one book for each subject
Never skip "Marks Rich" questions
