NDA (National Defence Academy) is a premier institute that trains the cadets (candidates) to get selected for Indian Armed Forces (Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy) as officers. Candidates may approach the academy by qualifying a national level entrance examination (NDA Eligibility Criteria ge Limits, Sex and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 1997 and not later than 1st July, 2000 are eligible. Educational Qualifications:- (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :— 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:— 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 patternof School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. Examination Pattern : . Subject Code Duration Maximum Marks Mathematics 01 2 1/2 hours 300 General Ability Test 02 2 1/2 hours 600 Total 900 Syllabus : •Mathematics:- Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of Two & Three Dimensions, Different Calculus, Integral Calculus & Different Equations, Vector Algebra and Statistics & Probability. •English: - The English paper will be designed to test students’ proficiency in the languages with verbal reasoning and usage of grammar. •General Knowledge: - The GK paper will include subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and •Current Events.
