CPT Important Dates:

Date of Notification: 15th JANUARY 2014

Last Date of Receipt of Applications: 25th APRIL 2014

Date of commencement of Examination: 22nd JUNE 2014

Syllabus of CA Course
CPT (Common Proficiency Test)

This is the gateway to Chartered Accountancy Course . It is an objective exam which is held 4 times every year.
However Graduates are exempt from CPT and can directly register for IPCC.

CPT – One Paper, Two Sessions ( 200 Marks Total )
Session I:
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 Marks)
Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 Marks)

Session II:
Section C: General Economics (50 Marks)
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)

IPCC - Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course

This is the first descriptive exam in CA Course

There are Seven Papers of study in Intermediate (IPC) Course which are divided into 2 groups

Group I

Paper 1: Accounting (100 marks)
Paper 2: Business Laws, Ethics and Communication (100 marks)
Paper 3: Cost Accounting and Financial Management (100 marks)
Paper 4: Taxation (100 marks)

Group II
Paper 5: Advanced Accounting (100 marks)
Paper 6: Auditing and Assurance (100 marks)
Paper 7: Information Technology and Strategic Management(100 marks)

FINAL

Last and final hurdle of CA course is the Final exam. About 20% Students are already married before clearing this exam.

Just like IPCC , Final is also divided into 2 groups totatling 8 subjects
