Gujarat Public Service Commission exam comprises of:

1.Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for the Selection of candidates to the main examination ;and

2.Main Examination (Written Examination ) for selection of candidates to the personality test.

3.Personality test : For final selection of candidates to various posts/ cadres

A. Preliminary Exam

The Preliminary Exam consists of two papers with objective type questions
(multiple choice).

Subject Marks
Paper – I General Studies 150
Paper – II One subject to be selected from the list of optional subjects. 200
Total 350

Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducts exam for recruitment to the posts in Gujarat Civil Services, Class- I and Class-II

Deputy Superintendent of Police
District Registrar of Co-op. Society
Mamlatdar
Section Officer-Sachivalaya
Section Officer-Vidhansabha
Section Officer-G.P.S.C.
Taluka Development Officer
Labour Officer
Assistant District Registrar of Co-op. Society
District Inspector of Land Record

The posts are advertised by the Commission in the Gujarat Rojgar Samachar and News papers


Eligibility


Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline from reconised university


Age : Minimum 21 years Maximum 28 years (For cut off date please see recent notification)


SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

The competitive examination comprises of ;

1.Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for the Selection of candidates to the main examination ;and

2.Main Examination (Written Examination ) for selection of candidates to the personality test.

3.Personality test : For final selection of candidates to various posts/ cadres

A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION:

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers with objective type questions (multiple choice). Subject Marks

Paper – II One subject to be selected from the list of optional subjects. 200
Total 350


B. Main Examination:
The main Examination consists of written examination which is of conventional type

Subject Marks
Paper - I Gujrati 200 marks
Paper - II English 200 marks
Paper – III General studies 200 marks
Paper –
IV & V Two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects. Each subject will have two papers 200 marks for each paper
TOTAL 1000 marks

C. Interview :
The interview is for 100 marks
