State Eligibility Test (SET) Commission, Assam (N. E. Region) generally invites the application for SET (State Eligibility Test) to examine eligibility of candidates for appointment as Lecturer in various Colleges and Universities.

Important Dates

Application form available till: 23 August 2014
Last date for receipt of duly-filled in forms with fees at designated centers: 30 August 2014
SET Test scheduled for: 16 November 2014

Mode of test:

The Test will consist of three papers having objective type questions in two separate sessions – Session I and Session II.

Session I
-You will have to appear in two paper – Paper I and Paper II -- of 100 marks each.
-Each paper will be of 1¼ Hours.
-In paper I, you will be required to attempt 50 questions of the 60 given
-In Paper II you will have to answer all the 50 questions asked.

Session II
- You will have to appear in only one paper – Paper III -- of 150 marks.
-The paper will be of 2½ Hours
- You will be required to answer all the 75 questions asked.

Karnataka State Eligibility Test is conducted by University of Mysore for determining the eligibility for Lecturer ship

Tentative Dates:
Date of Notification and Start of Online Application: Jun, 2015

Last Date of Submisison of Application FormJul, 2015

Last Date of Submission of Online Application with Late Fee:Aug, 2015

Date of KSET Exam: Nov, 2015

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have Master’s Degree with at least 55% (50% Applicants belonging Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category) marks.

There is no upper age limit to apply for K-SET Lectureship.

Syllabus

KSET will consist of questions from the relevant subjects on the pattern of the UGC-NET.

Syllabus for Paper I

Paper I will be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Syllabus for Paper II

Paper II shall consist of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Syllabus for Paper III

Paper III shall consist of questions based on the subjects selected by the candidate
