State bank of India Conducts the probationary Officer Examination for Recruitment of the probationary Officer Posts in the State bank of India and Its Associate banks Examination Pattern Phase-I (Preliminary Examination) Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows. 1. English Language - 30 no. of questions and 30 marks 2. Quantitative Aptitude - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks 3. Reasoning Ability - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks Composite Time of 01 Hour Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam. Phase-II (Main Examination) Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered a) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 sections for total 200 marks; the Objective Test will have separate timing for every section i. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 45 no. of questions; 60 marks and 60 minutes ii. Data Analysis & Interpretation 35 no. of questions; 60 marks and 45 minutes iii. General/Economy/ Banking Awareness 40 no. of questions; 40 marks and 35 minutes iv. English Language 35 no. of questions; 40 marks and 40 minutes Total - 155 no. of questions; 200 marks and 3 hours b) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
