The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Exam for selecting candidates in several technical and non-technical posts. Combined Graduate Level Exam Paper Pattern- The Combined Graduate Level Exam is conducted through two stages i.e. Prelims Mains Exam Paper Scheme of the SSC CGL Prelims Exam- There will be two parts in the question paper containing questions on the following topics: Part A: General Intelligence & General Awareness -100 Questions (100 Marks) Part B: Arithmetic -100 Questions (100 Marks) Duration of Exam: 4 Hours (2 Hours each) Syllabus of Part A: General Intelligence- Verbal and Non-Verbal questions on Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem solving, analysis, decision making and judgment, discrimination and observation etc General Awareness - History, Culture, Economic Scenario, Geography, General Research and Polity Part B- Arithmetic- Number System, Decimal & Fractions, Whole Numbers, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit & Loss, Mensuration, Tables & Graphs, Time and Distance respectively. |

Here you want to know the exam pattern of SCS CGL Exam, so here I am providing the following exam pattern: SSC CGL Exam Pattern (Preliminary) SSC CGL Exam is held in 2 parts. Part 1 General Intelligence & General Awareness Part 2 Arithmetic Total Questions Part 1: 100 Part 2: 100 Duration: 2 Hours for each Part. Both parts A & B will be of objective type (multiple choice type) SSC CGL Exam Pattern (Main) Part 1 Written Examination, and Part 2 Personality Test wherever applicable. Part 1 General Studies (Option to answer either in Hindi or in English) (200 Marks) (3 Hours) English (100 Marks) (2 Hours) Arithmetic (Option to answer either in Hindi or in English) (200 Marks) (3 Hours) Language Comprehension (English) (100 Marks) (2 Hours) Communication Skill & writing ability (option to answer either in Hindi or in English) (200 Marks) (2 Hours) Hindi (only for Delhi Police) (100 Marks) (2 Hours) Syllabus of SSC CGL Pre Exam General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non verbal type. This component will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, economic scene, General polity and scientific research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline Arithmetic: This part will include questions on problems relating to number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time etc. |
