Please let me know more about Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam conducted by SSC, so that I can go through it?

As per your concern I would like to tell you that SSC does not conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and here I will let you know about the exam organized by CBSE.

Eligibility
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for CTET exam.

Educational Qualification:
For Primary level (I to V):
50% in senior secondary and passed or appearing in the last year of 2-year diploma/ 4-year bachelor degree
Or
45% in senior secondary and appearing or passed in 2-year diploma as according to the NCTE Regulations.

For Elementary level (VI to VIII)
The aspirant must be graduated with at least 50% and appeared or passed in B.Ed./ 2-year diploma/ 2-year diploma as prescribed by NCTE regulations.

Application fee
CATEGORY Only Paper I or II Both Paper I & II
General/OBC Rs 600/- Rs 1000/-
SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person Rs 300/- Rs 500/-

Exam pattern
All questions in CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of CTET.

(i) Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Paper I (for classes I to V) Primary Stage :
Duration of examination- Two and a half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory):-

(i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks


Paper II (for classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage :
Duration of examination Two and a half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory):
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv)
(a) For Mathematics and Science teacher : Mathematics and Science
60 MCQs 60 Marks
(b) For Social Studies/Social Science teacher: Social Science
60 MCQs 60 Marks
(c) For any other teacher either (a) or (b)
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks
