The CTET is a stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers.

The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8.

It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi is conducting the 8th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 18th September 2016 (Sunday) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII

CTET eligibility:




Fees for CTET-SEPT:

For Paper-I or Paper-II (one of these): Rs.600/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.300/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)
For Paper-I and Paper-II (both): Rs.1000/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.500/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)

Important Dates:

Submission of Online Application: 22.06.2016 to 18.07.2016

Last Date for Online Submission of Application: 19.07.2016 (Before 03:30 PM)

Final status of candidates check status & particulars of candidates whose fees received 20.07.2016

Period for On-line Corrections in Particulars (No correction will be allowed in any particulars after this date): 20.07.2016 to 25.07.2016

Download Admit Card from CTET Website: 17.08.2016

Declaration of Results on or before: 2nd Week of November (tentatively)

Date of Exam:18.09.2016 Paper-II 09:30 to 12:00 PM Paper-I 02:00 to 04:30 PM

Exam Pattern:

The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s); there will be no negative marking; there will be 2 papers of CTET

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V

Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
