The SRM University and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) jointly offer Master of Science in Information Technology-Embedded Software Engineering MSIT-ESE program.

Master of Science in Information Technology-Embedded Software Engineering MSIT-ESE

MSIT-ESE is a 16-month degree program.

Study begins in year #1 in Chennai at SRMs School of Computing and School of Electrical Engineering where courses are taught by highly-qualified SRM faculty with additional training at Carnegie Mellon.

The professionally-oriented degree provides a background and foundational skills in computer science, hardware and electrical engineering, and systems engineering.

Admission Requirements

A bachelors degree in either Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Software Engineering (SW), Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar specialization.

Undergraduate/graduate project experience, internships, or professional work experience.

Standardized Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test scores. Score reports are to be sent to the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. The subject test in Computer Science is not required but is highly recommended

Non-native speakers of English (international applicants who do not have a degree from a US school) are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination. Unofficial scores are to be recorded on the application, with official score reports forwarded directly (code 4256).
