Total Marks 600

Duration of each paper will 2 hours.

Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) is conducted by Union Public Service Commission India at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur. This program was started in 1927 and is one of the oldest in India.

SCRA is conducted every year by the UPSC. It has three papers:
• General Ability Test
• Mathematics
• Physical Sciences

Types of Indian Railway services:
Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME)
Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS)
