Default Re: SBI PO Difficulty Level

The State bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer is just as tough as the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) PO exam.

The only difference is the number of vacancies which get filled up through both these exams.

As IBPS PO has more number of vacancies the cut-offs are relatively lower than the SBI PO.

Or the cut-offs for the bank exams are directly proportional to the number of vacancies. More the vacancies, lesser the cut-off and the exam becomes easy and vice versa.

Phase 1 – SBI PO Preliminary Exam Syllabus :

SBI PO preliminary syllabus : This is the first time, SBI is conducting preliminary exam to eliminate candidates in the early stage of selection process.

The total time provided to complete this exam is 1 hour.

English Language: 30 questions for 30 marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions for35 marks
Reasoning Ability: 35 questions for 35 marks
Total time : 1 hour.
Total questions: 100
Total marks : 100

Phase 2 – SBI PO Main Exam Syllabus:

SBI PO main syllabus:

SBI PO Main Exam will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be conduct in online mode only.

Candidates will have to answer descriptive test by typing on the computer.

Here typing speed, grammar and knowledge of specific topic are play major role to get secure marks.

Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be conducted by the state bank of India.

Objective Test:
The State bank of India (SBI) PO objective test has 200 marks overall weight age.
The Objective Test of 2 hour duration consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each (Total 200 marks) as follows:

d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, which also known as SBI PO cut off marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test:

The SBI PO Descriptive Test of 1 hour duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
The candidates are required to qualify in both the objective and Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, cut off marks decided by the Bank.
