| SBI DD Charges Calculator
I have to send some DD to Universities as I am applying to get admission in any if selected so I want to know the charges at SBI. Can you please provide its calculator application or its link? Or provide me rates in written here. A DD (Demand Draft) is a negotiable instrument which is pre-paid. In this payment mechanism, the payer bank guarantees to make the full payment when the demand draft is presented by the payee. It is worth mentioning that the demand draft is payable only at a specified centre of a specified branch of the bank. DD are issued for making payments to clients, service providers, school/college fees, and government and non-government institutions. This is because in these situations, both parties do not know each other well and beneficiaries want to ensure the payment in full. A DD issued by the bank is valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issue. If not presented, the draft will expire after that period. However, an expired DD can be revalidated by the bank. Banks also charge a small fee for revalidating a demand draft. The charges for DD revalidation are around Rs. 100 to Rs. 150. SBI DD Charges: Demand Draft Charges for Payment through Cheque: SBI DD Charges Up to Rs. 5,000 Rs. 25 + GST From Rs. 5,000 to Rs, 10,000 Rs. 50 + GST From Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1 lakh Rs. 5 per part of Rs. 1,000 which is Min. Rs. 55 & Max. Rs. 15,000 SBI DD Charges: Demand Draft Charges for Cash Payment: Up to Rs. 5,000 From Rs. 5,000 to Rs, 10,000 From Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1 lakh No cash handling SBI DD charges will be levied in addition to the previously explained charges for a cash transaction.
