Hi I want the admission details and syllabus of entrance exam of RIMC, Dehradun?

The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a public school for boys situated in Doon Valley, Dehradun in India. It was established in 1922.

Admission details-

Only 25 Cadets are admitted every six-month.
Candidates should not be less than 11.5 years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 years

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year.

Admission procedure-

The prospectus for the RIMC entrance examination is available at a payment of Rs. 450/- (by Demand Draft) to be sent in the favour of The Commandant, RIMC Dehradun - 248003 or by applying online. The instruction are as follows:-

Fill the necessary details asked for.
Fill correct category.
If SC/ST/OBC upload the supporting document(scanned copy in jpg format).
Click Submit Button.
Take the printout of Challan.
Deposit challan at any branch of SBI with total amount mentioned in challan.
Obtain receipt and keep candidate copy for future reference.
Complete set of prospectus will reach by 2 to 3 weeks.

Entrance Examination

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All-India Examination held twice a year.
The general standard of questions in the entrance examination is of class VII.

There are two sections for the entrance exam :-

A. Written :-

The written part of the examination consists of a test paper in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). Candidates can appear for the Mathematics test in Hindi or English Medium. General Knowledge can be answered in English, Hindi or any one of the regional languages. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % Marks in each subject.

C. Oral (Viva Voce) :-

The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed to assess a candidate's intelligence, personality and confidence.

Eligibility criteria :

Age :
11 years and six months of age not attained the age of 13 years.

Admissions are made to Class VIII only.

Candidate must be studying in Class VII or above in a recognized school.

For admission at RIMC, Dehradun candidate should have to appear in All India Entrance Examination.

All India Entrance written examination consisting of:
English (125 marks),
Mathematics (200 marks)
General Knowledge (75 marks),

Successful candidates are called for Viva - Voce test (50 marks).
