As you want to know the eligibility to join Navy so, here I am providing you the same.

Eligibility:

Candidates having Science Graduate with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics.

Candidates having Post Graduate in Science with minimum 55% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics.

Physical Standards:

Candidate’s minimum height would be for Male 157 cms.

Candidate’s minimum height would be for Female 152 cms with correlated weight.

Eye Sight The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses and should not be color/night blind.

Age limit:

Candidates should in the age of between 19-1/2 to 25 years.

I will tell you the eligibility criteria to join Indian Navy and I will also get some information about it so that you can have idea.

Here is the eligibility criteria to apply for Indian Navy
The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male.

Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board.

Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with no upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

After Graduation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or a B.Tech. Graduate can join Indian Navy/Air Force through appearing CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.

Eye sight

Eye sight must be 6/6 or 6/36 FOR DISTANT VISION

Spectacles corrected vision limit is 6/9

Myopia limit for Airfoce is -0.75 including Astigmatism

Color Blind limit is CP-3 Level

Exam pattern
Written Examination:-
Written exam will be conducted at the designated centre on the informed date and time.

The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and of objective type.

The question paper will comprise of four sections for Artificer Apprentice, Senior Secondary Recruit entry and Matric Recruit entry i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge and will be of 60 minutes duration.

Physical Fitness Test :-
PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 25 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.

Candidates undergoing PFT should be done at one's own risk.

The results of the Written Test are generally declared on the same day.

Those who qualify Written Test are permitted to undergo PFT and only those who qualify PFT are taken for Medical Examination.

Medical Test :-
Entry level Medical standards are different for different entries.

Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.

Candidates declared Temporary unfit during Medicals in the recruitment medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible.

Those candidates who are declared medically permanent unfit can appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of Rs.40 by Military Receivable Order (MRO) in the Government Treasury within 21 days.

Medical fitness certificate from other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will NOT be considered.

This whole process is generally completed on the same day but it may also take 3-4 days time depending on the service requirements or due to unforeseen contingencies.
