Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) is a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 for higher education and research in India established by the government of India in 1989.

It is an autonomous body, fully funded by Govt. Of India and controlled by SLIET society, registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Its vision is to act as an international podium for the development and transfer of technical competence in academics through formal and non formal education, entrepreneurship and research to meet the changing need of society.


Ranking

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology was ranked 133 among engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019 and ranked 56 in 2016.
