The National Institute of Technology, Agartala or NIT Agartala is a technology-oriented institute of higher education established by India's Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India in Agartala, India.

It has received awards from the first World Education Congress in the category of engineering colleges, and has been recognized among best Government Engineering Colleges by ABP News National B-School Awards in 2012 and in 2013.

Ranking of NIT Agartala

NIT or National Institute of Technology, Agartala is ranked 52nd best engineering college of India 2016 and 14th among NITs by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India.

It is also ranked 89th best university of India 2016 by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India. It is the first NIT to enter the list of Best Universities of India 2016 by National Institutional Ranking Framework.
