Hello, here I am providing you the details of the Prof. Kanchugarakoppal S. Rangappa of the University of Mysore as under: Full Name: Prof. Kanchugarakoppal S. Rangappa. Positions (Held @ Past & Present): Professor of Chemistry, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore Education Qualifcation: Ph.D., D.Sc., FRSC., FNASc. Contribution: Prof. Rangappa has made novel contributions to chemical sciences, especially Chemical Biology-Drug Discovery, Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry. His most important contributions have been towards the synthesis of several new bioactive heterocycles as anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-malarial, anti-cancer agents and acetylcholine esterase inhibitors/M1 agonists for Alzheimer’s disease. Awards: R. C. Shaw Memorial National Award (1999), Dr. M. A. M. Ramaswamy Award (1999), Japan Society for Promotion of Science Research (JSPS) Award (1999), Prof. H. Sanke Gowda National Research Award (2001), Mysore University Golden Jubilee C.V. Raman Award (2005), Sir C.V. Raman Young Scientist Award (2006) from Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology Area of Specialization Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Physical Organic Chemistry Publications: Professor Rangappa has published more than 360 research papers in national and international peer reviewed journals and presented more than 125 research papers in national and international conferences.
