VII. Caste System : Origin and evolution.
VIII. The Epics : Historical importance of Ramayan and Mahabharat.
IX. Political Condition on eve of Alexanders invasion.

Unit-IV
X. Impact of Alexanders invasion on social and cultural life.
XI. Position of women : Harappan, early Vedic and later Vedic Age.
