PSU is Public Sector Undertaking exam, for that I am giving you exam pattern of this exam:

Examination pattern of PSUs
Number of Questions: 150-200 Question
Time duration: 2 – 2½ Hrs
Negative Marking: 1/3
Technical:75% of total questions
General aptitude with English: 25%

Selection Procedure
Selection procedure depends on 3 stages which I am giving you here.

Stage-I:
Written Examination
Duration:- 1–3 hrs

Written examination divided in 4 sections:
Technical
Aptitude & Reasoning
English & RC
General Awareness & current affairs

Stage-II:
Interview and GD
Interview is totally depends on candidates performance.

GD
Duration is 20 -30 minutes.
Usually easy topics are given for discussion.

Stage-III:
Medical Examination

Examination pattern will be different for vary from one PSU to another.

Selection Procedure:

Stage-I:- Written Examination (Generally on Sunday)

Stage-II:- Interview and GD

Stage-III:- Medical Examination

Stage-I :- Written Examination
Written exam of various PSUs can be divided mainly into 4 sections:-
Aptitude & Reasoning
Technical
English & RC
General Awareness & current affairs

Duration:- 1–3 hrs (avg 2 hrs)

Stage-II:- Interview

The interview focuses on:

More of HR Question limited to the general introduction, work experience (if any), hobbies etc.
Maximum stress on testing the technical knowledge of the candidate.
Final year project is very important for the interview.

Group Discussion is also conducted at some PSUs with the interview, which involves:

Duration is 20 -30 minutes.
Usually easy topics are given for discussion.
Contemporary social and political issues are highly probable topics to be given.
Topics on environmental and technical issues can also be given.

Stage-III:- Medical Examination

In few PSUs, applicants selected on the basis of their performance in written exam, interview and GD are finally called for a medical check-up prior to their appointment and training.
