Common Admission Test is taken on National level by the Indian Institutes of Management to provide admission to the candidates into following programmes.

IIM Ahmedabad PGP and PGP-ABM
IIM Kanshipur PGP
IIM Kozhikode PGP
IIM Lucknow PGP and PGP-ABM
IIM Raipur PGP
IIM Ranchi PGDM and PGDHRM
IIM Rohtak PGP
RGIIM Shillong PGP
IIM Tiruchirapalli PGP
IIM Udaipur PGP
IIM Bangalore PGP, PGSEM and PGPPM
IIM Calcutta PGP-PGDM and PGP-PGDMC
IIM Indore PGP and EPGP

Eligibility
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

In case of the SC and ST, a minimum of 45% mark is sufficient.

Pattern

CAT will be of two sections:

The first section will focus on Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation;

The second section will focus on Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

The examination will be for 140 minutes.

Applicants will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer.

Once the time ends for the first section, they will move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back.

A 15-minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the test, and Applicants are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination.

The total duration will be 2 Hr. 35 Min including the tutorial.

Important dates:

Apply online on website:- August 06, 2014 (Wednesday) to September 30, 2014 (Tuesday).

Dates for download of admit card: October 16, 2014 (Thursday) to November 16, 2014 (Sunday).

Test Dates - November 16, 2014 (Sunday) and November 22, 2014 (Saturday).
Results - Third week of December 2014.
