To become a psychologist you need to pursue Bachelor's programme in Psychology, then post Graduation and then Phd. Then you can specialize in one of following branches:

The minimum educational requirement to become a psychologist is a master's degree in psychology or educational psychology; however, many positions require a doctoral (PhD) degree, which is the minimum education requirement in most other provinces.

You need to decide what type of psychologist you would like to become because there are several subfields in psychology, including

* clinical psychologist
* industrial/organizational psychologist
* neuropsychologist research and experimental psychologist
* school psychologist
* social psychologist
* sports psychologist
* counselling psychologist
* developmental psychologist
* educational psychologist
* forensic psychologist
* health psychologist

Minimum qualification to become a Psychologist/Counselor is to have a Degree in any stream added with Diploma in Guidance/counseling or membership in association of Professional Psychologists.

So dear please study B.A(physcology)or M.A (pschycology) the go for Ph.d in pschycology to become a pschycologist.

A psychologist's work is tough but has a fair income. A psychologist can work in NGOs, colleges and school and can earn upto Rs 8000 – Rs. 10000 every month.

A graduate in psychology can opt for teaching jobs in universities, research institutes and in colleges.
