Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Indian Forest Services Exam or IFS exam every year for recruitment to forestry services of India Preparation tips for you Pick up the syllabus and finish them with predecided deadlines Buy the previous year question papers (preferably unsolved) Purchase the NCERT textbooks and other reference materials. . Eligibility You should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized university or equivalent. If you are final year of degree can also compete for the exam. However, on the successful completion of the written exam, candidates need to submit their proof of passing the exam. IFS Exam Pattern IFS Exam consists of two stages: 1) Civil Services Preliminary Exam (Objective Type) 2) Main Examination (Written and Interview) Application Fee: Applicants need to submit Rs. 100/- as application fee through net banking or by any Master/Visa Credit/Debit Cards or by paying Cash Female, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from examination fee. |
