Department of Nuclear Physics at Andhra University was established in the year 1954.It is meant for advanced level teaching and research in Nuclear Physics.

Courses Offered:
M.Sc 2years (4 Semesters)

M.Phil

Part time - 2 years
Full time - 1 year

PhD

Full time - 3 years
Part time - 4 years

Facilities Provided:

(1) Mosssbauer Spectrometer system

(2) Two magnetic spectrographs for electron spectroscopy

(3) 14 MeV neutron generator

(4) Si(Li), HP Ge detectors and Scintillation spectrometers.

(5) EDXRF system,

(6) Positron Annihilation life time spectrometer along with PC based MCA systems have been acquired recently.
