Important Tentative Date:
Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) along with the demand draft of Rs. 1000/- (of any nationalized bank) drawn in favour of “EIILM University” payable at Sikkim will be at the end of May

ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates must have passed any Master’s Degree or equivalent from UGC/AICTE recognized body with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I and differently- abled candidates) in aggregate or equivalent grade.

Date / Venue of Ph.D. Entrance Test:
Details with respect to Aptitude Test/ Group Discussion will be intimated directly to the applicants

Exemptions for Entrance Examination:
The applicant fulfilling one of the following conditions will be exempted from Entrance Examination:

Those Candidates who have qualified U.G.C/ CSIR (JRF) Examination/ NET/ SLET/ GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder.

Passed M.Phil/M.E./M.Tech from statutory University. Teachers having 5 years regular (unconditional approval) teaching experience at U.G. /P.G. level. Research Scholars /Person/Senior Citizens with exceptional abilities who have passed Graduate Degree Examination with 55% of Marks and with 15 years experience after graduation in related field. (Subject to discretion of Vice‐ Chancellor). However they have to qualify in the interview conducted by the University for Admission to PhD programme.

SELECTION OF CANDIDATE:
Selection of candidates for Ph.D programme will be based on the performance in the Entrance Test, Interview and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations. Final cutoff marks will be decided by the university before declaration of the results

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Attested copies of Caste Certificate/ disability certificate and other relevant documents should be enclosed.
2) The application fee is nonrefundable under any circumstances.
3) Incomplete/ applications not in the prescribed forms will be rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained in the matter.
5) 5 colored passport size photographs to be attached
6) The University reserves the right to fill the seats or not to fill the seats.
