Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has invited the Applications for admission into Ph.D Computer Science & Engineering Programme 1st Semester .

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed M.Tech/M.E/M.S in computer science and engineering with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) (55% marks for SC/ST)

Applicants with B.Tech/B.E qualification with valid GATE score can apply for direct admission to PhD program

Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from any IIT and having a CGPA/CPI score of 8.00 are exempted from requirement of GATE qualification

Applicants having
M.Tech./
M.E./
M.S. in Electrical engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks (or 6.5 grade point out of 10) is eligible to apply.

8. High Voltage Power Equipment,

9. Nano-Dielectrics,

10. Space Charges in Dielectrics

11. High-speed interconnect design for on-chip and chip-chip applications,

12. Low-power communication networks for multi-core architecture,

13. Development and applications of novel materials for high-speed circuits.




General Information
Applicants are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST Rs. 100/-) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, IIT Ropar, payable at Rupnagar.

Applicants have to send the Demand Draft by post to the Department where they are applying quoting the reference No. of the Application.

The fee can be paid by Online transfer.

The transaction ID must be quoted while filling the application.

All selected Applicants who are Indian citizens and who do not receive any other scholarship/funding, will be provided financial support by the Institute.

Admission to reserved category Applicants will be as per Government of India notification.

Generous Research Assistantships and other financial support for attending conferences within India and abroad are available as per MHRD norms subject to the conditions prescribed in the Institute regulations.

At present IIT Ropar does not offer part time PhD programme.

Selection will be based on written test followed by interview.

Mere fulfillment of the above mentioned qualifications does not entitle a Applicants to be called for PhD entrance test.
