Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the Department of Science & Technology (Technology Mission Division: Energy, Water & Others), GoI sponsored project (No. DST/TMD/HFC/2K18/40) titled “Thermoresistant Polymer-Derived Microporous Ceramic Membranes for Separation of Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide/Carbon Dioxide in Hydrogen Production” under the supervision of undersigned. The position is temporary for up to 3 years and is available immediately. The selected candidate may be allowed to register for PhD program as per the existing institute norms. The aim of this project is - Separation of hydrogen and carbon monoxide/carbon dioxide for production of pure hydrogen using novel polymer-derived microporous ceramic membranes. Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position: 1 JRF Essential Qualifications: i. M. Tech./M.E./M.S. in Metallurgical/ Materials/ Ceramic/ Chemical/Energy Engineering or Nanotechnology or related discipline with CGPA of 6.5 or higher (60% marks or higher) (or) B.Tech./B.E. in Metallurgical/ Materials/ Chemical/Energy Engineering or related discipline with CGPA of 6.5 or higher (60% marks or higher) (or) M.Sc. in Chemistry/Nanoscience or related discipline with CGPA of 6.5 or higher (60% marks or higher) ii. GATE or CSIR-UGC NET Qualified Emoluments: As per DST norms (JRF fellowship shall be Rs. 31000/- per month for first two years and Rs. 35000/- per month for third year onwards in addition 8% HRA would be provided according to the Institute norms). Duration: 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. However, after every year, the progress of the candidate will be reviewed for further extension.
