The mission of Post Graduate Programme for Executives for Visionary Leadership in manufacturing (PGPEX-VLM) program offered by Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras is to develop future visionary leaders for the manufacturing sector in India so as to enhance the global competitiveness of our manufacturing sector.

The program attracts promising engineers from the manufacturing and allied businesses, who have the potential for top management positions. It aims to develop leadership and management skills, besides providing an impetus to cutting edge technology awareness and proficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:
A First-Class Graduate Engineers with First Division/ First Class Marks from High School/Secondary Board on-wards.

Work Experience:
Self-sponsored candidates - Minimum 4.5to maximum 10 years of work experience in manufacturing and related sector; holding responsibilities in production planning and control, research, design and development, quality control, plant engineering, maintenance, supply chain, etc.
For sponsored candidates, the upper limit on maximum experience of 10 years is waived off

Admission Process:
Application form is to be submitted in form as given in the notification.
Selection is made on the basis of academic background, which has to be consistently first division/first class from school board exam level to graduation level, relevant work experience, employers recommendations, performance in the Aptitude Test and Personal Interview to be conducted jointly by IIMC, IITK and IITM.

Selection process involves short listing applicants on the basis of GMAT score, bio-data and essays, a management aptitude test and an interview conducted by the faculty members of 3 institutes and key industry experts.
