Advanced Eye Centre was inaugurated in the year 2006 at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh .

It provides training to students for MS degree in Ophthalmology.

The centre runs several special clinics and services viz. Uvea, Glaucoma, Lens, Cornea, Retina and Vitreous, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Contact Lens & Low Vision Aids, Oculoplastic and Tumour Clinics.
