The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh conducts MDS entrance exam. The institute has not published dates of the exam for 2013 yet so here are the tentative dates:

MDS/House job (OHSC):
Entrance Examination: 1st week of June 2013
Declaration of Result: 1st week of June 2013

The exam paper will have 100 objective type questions with maximum of 100 marks. The exam will be of 1½ hours. The paper has 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh will conducts national level PGIMER entrance exam for admission to various postgraduate courses in MD/MS and MDS.

Eligibility for MDS:
Candidate must have degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) of Panjab University or any other University recognized by Dental Council of India.

Exam Pattern of MDS:
The test duration is 90 minutes and will be conducted in a single section

PGIMER will be pen and paper based exam

PGIMER exam will have 100 Multiple Choices Questions
(MCQ), with single correct response out of four response

The exam will be conducted in English language

There will be no clinical/ practical examination

Eligibility for PGI Chandigarh MDS Admission 2019


One must hold degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) of Panjab University or any other University recognized by Dental Council of India

One must have either completed, or due to complete, compulsory rotatory internship training on or before 31st December for January session and 30th June for July session respectively
Candidates are eligible for House Job within three years of obtaining the BDS degree

One must be registered with Central /State Dental Registration Council

One is eligible for House Job within three years after obtaining the BDS degree. One who has already done House Job in any Hospital or Institute is not eligible for House Job at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
