The Periyar Maniammai University conducts entrance exam (PUMET) for providing admission in its following programs:

Tentative dates:
Last date for submission of filled in application form: Last week of April, 2013
Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test (PMUET): 2nd week of May, 2013

Eligibility:
B. Tech Program:
Applicants must have passed 12th examination of any recognized Central / State Board of Secondary Examination, such as CBSE, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

How to get the form:
Candidates can apply offline and online.
Candidates can apply online from the University website.pmu.edu

Offline:
Applicants can buy the admission form on payment of Rs 750/- (for SC/ST applicants Rs 500/-) at all head post offices in Tamil Nadu. Completed form should be sent with DD drawn in favour of the “Registrar, Periyar Maniammai University” payable at Thanjavur and other documents.

Periyar Maniammai University conducts entrance exam to providing admission in BE Program ( 4 Years ) and B.Tech Program ( 4 Years ).

Eligibility for BTech Program :

Candidate should passed second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination .

10+2 study comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject, ( Biology or Bio – technology instead of chemistry for BE / B Tech and Bio Technology ).

General candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks ( 40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates )

Age : 17 years
