PCS or Punjab Civil Services Exam is a combined competitive examination held by the Punjab Public Service Commission for recruitment to the following given services/posts: Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) Deputy Superintendent of Police Deputy Superintendent of Jail (Grade-II)/District Probation Officer(jails) Excise & Taxation Officer Tehsildar Block Development & Panchayat Officer Labour and Concilliation Officer PCS Exam 2014 Important Dates Date of Notification Dec, 2014 Last Date of for Filling of Application Form Dec, 2014 Last Date for Depositing the Application Form Jan, 2015 Date of Exam Feb, 2015 PCS 2013 was held on: Jul, 2014 PCS Exam / Punjab Civil Services Exam Eligibility Educational Qualification: A Candidate should possess a degree of bachelor in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. The candidate can take preliminary examination while studying for his degree course. The candidates must have passed Punjabi of matric or its equivalent standard as on the last date of receipt of on-line application form Age: Candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 1st Jan Essential Qualifications:- (i) The candidate should possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University. (ii) The Candidates need to pass Punjabi of matric or its equivalent standard as on the last date of receipt of application Nationality The candidate must be a: Citizen of India; or Citizen of Nepal; or Subject of Bhutan; or Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India; or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganike and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India; Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of Punjab in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice. |
