Re: Ota nda

Indian Military Academy (IMA, Dehradun), Officers Training Academy (OTA Chennai & OTA Gaya), and National Defence Academy (NDA, Pune) are the prime Defence Institutes designated for training officers in India.

The difference between National Defence Academy (NDA)and Officers Training Academy (OTA) is NDA is tri-services academy and is joined after 10+2 where the cadets of Army,Navy & Air Force are trained upto 3 years.

Cadets also get their bachelor's degree in BA,BSc or BCS during there three years of training at the academy from Jawaharlal Nehru university

. After the completion of training, Army cadets go to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun for there advanced training while those of Navy go to Indian Naval Academy

Officers Training Academy

OTA stands for Officers Training Academy either Chennai or Gaya.
Established during15 January 1963 (OTA Chennai) aim was to provide an opportunity of deserving young men(later on females) to serve in the army as a SSC(short service commission) officer,he/she can serve for some prescribed years and then can either opt for civilian life

NDA

NDA is established in 7 December 1954. aim was to provide leadership to all three arms of Indian armed forces.hence the crest shows so though the aim of above mentioned academies is basically the same one but NDA is looked upon an institution which provides training under one roof. a three year long course and the cadets getting enrolled for respective branches later on heads the forces.a more of exhaustive course curriculum
