The Berhampur University came into existence on 2nd January 1967 being inaugurated by Dr. A.N. Khosla, the then Governor of Orissa and the first Chancellor of the University.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have done M.Sc/M.Com/ MA degree or any other equivalent examination with no less than 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% of marks or equivalent grade in case of candidates from SC/ST categories) in order to eligible for admission into the M.Phil course in relevant subject.

Selection Process
Admission will be strictly based on marks obtained by applicants in the written entrance test, Career Marks, and marks obtained in Viva Voce and Interview.
