Re: Is Only Lecturer Job available after MSc courses

Hello, the candidates need to do masters’ degree with the aggregate of 55% and have to give UGC NET exam to become a lecturer. The candidates who do not want to give the NET/SLET exam needs to do PhD in the field to become the lecturer.

Candidates who have been doing PhD since 2009 with course work - would no longer have to clear NET/SLET before applying for the posts. A copy of the UGC notification was sent to the Punjab University vice-chancellor by the Punjab University Teachers Association

Skills required being a lecturer:
Expertise in the particular subject area
The capability to work both independently and as part of a team
The ability to sustain an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the specialist research area and to impart this to students and peers
Confidence in dealing with a range of people
The ability to organise workload within competing demands
Published research and willingness to participate at professional conferences and seminars
Excellent analytical skills
The potential to expand knowledge in order to teach a broad curriculum
Good IT skills
A capacity for original thought
Commitment to the profession and continuing professional development (CPD)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A flexible approach to work
