Mewar University is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Rajasthan and is approved by the UGC with the right to confer degree. It is promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES), headed by Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya. It is controlled by a Board of Management, constituted by the MES.
