Objective Tests in English as a Foreign Language
Can you tell me if Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT is a objective type of Test as I will be giving the Test this time, please help me with this?

The TOEFL iBT test is given in English and administered via the Internet. There are four sections (listening, reading, speaking and writing) which take a total of about four and a half hours to complete. Paper Pattern Section Time Limit Questions Tasks Reading 6080 minutes 3656 questions Read 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answer questions. Listening 6090 minutes 3451 questions Listen to lectures, classroom discussions and conversations, then answer questions. Break 10 minutes - - Speaking 20 minutes 6 tasks Express an opinion on a familiar topic; speak based on reading and listening tasks. Writing 50 minutes 2 tasks Write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks; support an opinion in writing. TOEFL Syllabus Listening: The section involves listening to lectures, classroom discussions & conversations and answering questions. One has to be alert and active in this part of the exam as one will be later asked questions from the sessions. Reading: The section involves reading 3 or 4 passages from academic texts and answering questions. One can prepare for this part by practicing reading passages from books or papers. The passages in the test can be from anywhere. In this section, only reading ability of one will be checked. Speaking: In the section, one will have to express an opinion on a familiar topic. One will have to speak based on the reading and listening tasks. One understands ability will be tested here. Basically, one has to explain what one has read. Writing: In the section, one has to write essay responses based on reading and listening tasks. One will also have to support an opinion in writing. One should be well informed in order to crack this section. |
