State-owned NTPCNSE 0.76 %, which laid the foundation stone for a 1,600-MW power plant in Madhya Pradesh, plans to set up two more projects in the state.

NTPC has a few projects in Madhya Pradesh, including the 4,260-MW Vindhyachal thermal power station.

One more unit of 500 MW is under construction at Vindhyachal. The company is also working on a 50-MW solar plant at Rajgarh in the state.

The company plans to set up two more projects at Khargone and Barethi in MP.

NTPC signed a MOU with Government of Madhya Pradesh and MP Power Trading Company for setting up 4 x 660 MW (2640MW) thermal Power Plant at Narsinghpur in Madhya Pradesh in New Delhi
