Can you tell me about the ranking of NMSU or New Mexico State University as I am planning to take admission in MBA or Master in Business Administration course offered by it?

New Mexico State University (NMSU) is a major public, land-grant, Research University which was founded in 1888. It is the only research-extensive, land-grant, USA-Mexico border institution classified by the federal government as serving Hispanics NMSU Ranking NMSU was ranked as tied for 199th in the national universities category and tied for 116th among public universities by U.S. News & World Report (USN&WR) in its 2016 rankings. Also, USN&WR in 2016 ranked the College of Engineering's graduate program as tied for 127th, the Nursing School tied for 127th, and the College of Education's graduate program 153rd in the nation. In addition, Chemistry, English, Math, Physics, Social Work and Speech-Language Pathology were all ranked within the top 150 best graduate programs by USN&WR The MBA program of New Mexico State University (NMSU) is accredited by AACSB-International and among the top 15% of business programs in the world. MBA Course Requirements Background knowledge requirements are: • Financial Accounting: ACCT 221 • Managerial Accounting: ACCT 222 • Macroeconomics: ECON 251 • Financial Analysis: FIN 341 • Principles of Marketing: MKTG 303 • Calculus: MATH 142G or MATH 191 • Statistics: A ST 251G or STAT 251, or A ST 311G Required Courses (36 Credits) 1. ACCT 503 Managerial Accounting o Prerequisite: ACCT 221 with a grade of B or better –and– ACCT 222 with a grade of B or better 2. BCIS 502 Business Information Systems 3. BLAW 502 Legal Environment of Business 4. ECON 503 Management Economics o Prerequisite: Statistics with a grade of B or better 5. FIN 503 Financial Management o Prerequisite: FIN 341 with a grade of B or better 6. MGT 502 Operations Management 7. MGT 503 Organizational Behavior & Management Processes 8. MGT 512 Quantitative Analysis for Business Decisions 9. MKTG 503 Marketing Management o Prerequisite: MKTG 303 with a grade of B or better 10. BA 590 Professional Paper and Presentation. Must be completed during the final term of the student’s program. o Prerequisites: Minimum of B average (with no grade less than C) in: ACCT 503, BLAW 502, FIN 503, and MKTG 503 11. MGT 590 Strategic Management. o Must be completed at the end of the student’s program of study. 12. MBA Approved Electives (August 2011): One graduate business elective (3 credits; course numbered 500 or above) selected from the list. |
