All Indian Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a paper-pen based OMR entrance test directed by the National Law University, New Delhi for admission to its B.A. L.L.B (Hons), L.L.M and Ph. D degree programs. AILET Syllabus AILET consists of questions from the following given topics. 1. English language 2. General knowledge 3. Basic mathematics and 4. Legal and logical reasoning AILET Paper Pattern:- B.A., LL.B. (Hons.):- Total Marks - 150 Total number of questions - 150 Duration of the Examination - 1 hour 30 minutes Subject areas and marks distribution English - 35 Marks General Knowledge (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics) - 35 Marks Legal Aptitude - 35 Marks Reasoning - 35 Marks Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) - 10 Marks LL.M:- Total Marks - 150 Duration of the examination - 90 Minutes Subject areas - Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Legal Theory Total Number of questions - 100 (objective type) and 1 (Essay) Objective Type - 100 questions of one mark each Essay - One Essay of 50 marks on a topic of law from the above subjects. Ph.D:- It is a written test which will consist of two papers: i. Paper I – Research Methodology 100 marks, Objective type 100 questions of Multiple Choice, Duration 1 hour 30 minutes ii. Paper II – Research Proposal Specific Paper It is not a written paper. The candidate has to submit a research proposal not exceeding 15 pages on the topic in which the candidate wants to pursue a Ph.D. The Research Proposal shall contain a) Title b) Statement of problem & background information on the subject c) Research questions, Hypothesis & Methodology; and d) Research design AILET Test Centres All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) will be conducted at • Ahmedabad • Bangalore, Bhopal • Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin • Delhi • Guwahati • Hyderabad • Jaipur, Jammu • Kolkata • Lucknow • Mumbai • Tiruchirappalli and Patna. |
