Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses like B. Tech, B.E, B. Arch and B. Planning in various NITs. NIT B. Tech Admissions at NIT, Karnataka 2016-2017 Eligibility NIT offers B. Tech courses in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering. The admission to the B. Tech Courses are on the basis of entrance exam scores they attained from JEE Main entrance exam conducted by the C.B.S.C board New Delhi. One must have obtained at least 60% in their intermediate test. Half of the seats are reserved for the candidates belonging from Karnataka and rest of the half seats are reserved for the candidates belonging from other regions of India. 10 % of total seats in the Undergraduate Graduate courses are reserved for the foreign candidates under the Direct Admission of Student Abroad (DASA) Scheme. DASA is an independent organization working under the Ministry of HRD Government of India. Admission of the foreign students is determined from the scores earned in Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry. Admission One who scores a good Grade in Entrance exam will be considered for final round Face to face Interview with the senior faculties of the concerned departments.
