B Tech Admission Procedure

Admissions to B Tech Program are made on the basis of seats allocated by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) from the list of candidates selected by all India JEE (Main).

Besides, a specified number of foreign nationals/NRIs selected under the policy laid down by Govt. of India, are admitted directly to the 1st year of the courses.

Documents required for Admission

Following documents in original to be submitted at the time of admission in B. Tech at NIT Silchar for verification:

1. Original Document verification cum seat acceptance letter CSAB.
2. Five passport size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE (Main) registration
3. Copy of Photo identity card (Issued by Govt. Agency/Last attended school/Class XII admit card)
4. Copy of Admit card of JEE (Main)
5. Copy of Score card of JEE (Main)
6. Provisional seat allotment letter CSAB
7. Copy of Proof for Date of birth
8. Copy of all testimonial from Class X to Class XII (Board pass certificate, mark sheet, admit card etc.)
9. Transfer Certificate/Migration Certificate and Character Certificate (from the institute last attended)
10. Medical certificate (In JoSSA prescribed format submitted at the time of RC reporting)
11. Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST) if applicable (In JoSSA prescribed format)
12. Copy of Medical certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) submitted during reporting (In JoSSA prescribed format)
13. Income proof certificate certified by the authorized person for the candidates claiming fee deduction
